fab apps by Fabian Mach · Last updated July 15, 2026
The short version: your data stays on your device. I don't collect, sell, or share anything, and the apps contain no ads, analytics, or tracking of any kind. I built these apps mainly for my own use — with the coding done by Claude (Anthropic's AI) under my guidance — and I'm simply sharing them. There is no business model that involves your data.
What the apps store
Everything you create in a fab app — scores, players, recipes, fasting history, brew logs, recordings — is stored locally on your device. Some apps optionally keep settings or data in your personal iCloud account (via iCloud Keychain or iCloud Drive), which only you can access under Apple's own privacy protections. None of it is ever transmitted to me.
AI features (fab recipe, fab fasting, fab coffee)
Some apps offer optional AI features that use your own Anthropic API key. When you use them, the content you submit (for example, a photo of a coffee bag or a recipe) is sent directly from your device to Anthropic to generate a response — never through my servers, and only when you actively use the feature. Your API key is stored in the iOS Keychain. Anthropic's handling of API data is described in their privacy policy.
Health data (fab fasting)
With your permission, fab fasting reads and writes fasting data via Apple HealthKit. Health data never leaves your device or your personal Apple Health store, and is never used for anything except showing it to you.
Microphone (fab score)
With your permission, fab score records short jingles you choose to record. Recordings are saved on your device only and can be deleted at any time in the app.
Purchases
Tips and purchases are processed entirely by Apple. I receive no personal information about you — not your name, email, or payment details.
